Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Find answers to all frequently asked questions regarding your booking, required documents, online payment, and roadside assistance in Morocco.
What documents do I need to pick up my vehicle?
When picking up your rental vehicle, you must present: a valid passport or national ID card, your original driving licence (held for more than 1 year), and a physical credit card in your name to block the security deposit.
What is the minimum age required to rent a vehicle at diRENT?
The minimum age required is 21 years for most vehicles. For premium categories (luxury SUVs, prestige sedans), the driver must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driver's license for over 5 years.
How does the security deposit (caution) work?
A bank pre-authorization (temporary hold of funds) is made on the primary driver's credit card upon departure. No amount is debited from your account. This deposit is released automatically upon return of the vehicle after inspection by our agent.
Can I cancel my booking for free?
Yes, cancellation is 100% free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up date and time. The refund will be credited directly to the payment card used during your reservation within 5 to 10 business days.
What should I do in case of a breakdown or car accident?
Our 24/7 roadside assistance is at your service throughout Morocco. In case of breakdown or accident, immediately call our emergency hotline provided on your rental documents folder. In case of an accident involving a third party, a properly completed and signed accident report or a police report is mandatory for insurance coverage.
How to book a car on diRENT?
You can book directly online by choosing your dates, departure and arrival branch, then selecting the vehicle of your choice. Confirmation and secure online payment take less than 3 minutes.
What should I do if the vehicle is heavily damaged following an accident for a short-term rental?
